Divine Word

Divine Word is a prayer group rooted in the ancient tradition of Lectio divina, or ‘holy reading’. From the earliest times, Christians have been encouraged to meditate and engage with the Sacred Scriptures, to let God speak to us through his holy Word.

‘Chewing over’ Scripture by reading, re-reading, meditating and reflecting upon a passage can be done by oneself or within a group.

This prayer group comes together to listen to God’s Word in Scripture, to pray together reflectively, and to share insights from prayer with one another.
