Churches Together

One of the great tragedies of the history of Christianity is how over the centuries we have fallen out and split from one another.

In John 17: 21 Jesus prayed:

May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me.

The many different churches and Christian communities of Bury St Edmunds and its surrounding district have a strong tradition of working together and building friendships. St Edmund’s is also committed to this ecumenism and plays a full part in the area’s Churches Together.
